• Prior to forming Panopticon, Sandeep was an investment professional from 2017-2018 at Blackstone Group’s $100B real estate platform, concentrating on private credit-oriented special situations within private drawdown funds totaling ~$9B and a publicly traded mortgage REIT, which at the time held $4.5B of market value. 

• Before joining Blackstone, Sandeep spent 2012-2014 at Valinor Management and Meghalaya Partners (a 9-figure “spin out” from Valinor).  During this time, Sandeep focused on U.S. and European fundamental investments across capital structures in various sectors on both sides of the book (long and short), implemented through a variety of investment structures.

• At Meghalaya, he served as Co-Founder, Senior Managing Director, and a key decision maker involving individual investments, portfolio construction, risk, and capital raising. 

• Prior to the hedge funds, Sandeep was an investment banker at Centerview Partners from 2011-2012, where he was involved in both restructurings and M&A. 

• Before joining Centerview, Sandeep was an attorney at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen and Katz in the Restructuring and Finance practice from 2008-2011, focusing on corporate bankruptcies, out-of-court restructurings, and leveraged buyouts. 

Sandeep received his B.A., summa cum laude, with High Honors in History and completed a Senior Fellowship in Philosophy and Literature from Dartmouth College, where he graduated first in his class.  He was a Phi Beta Kappa Early Inductee, Presidential Scholar, and a four-time recipient of the Sigurd S. Larmon Scholarship for Excellence in Policy Debate.  He also received his J.D. from Yale Law School, where he served as Projects Editor and Senior Member of the Yale Law Journal.
